What events has Emerge done?

Since 2005, Emerge Miami has hosted events that build community and empower people.  Emerge was founded to unite Miami’s progressive community around making Miami a better place while building meaningful relationships with one another.

In 2006, Emerge Miami started organizing second-Saturday Critical Mass bike rides that energized and united Miami’s bike scene.  Today, Miami is home to a robust bike scene that supports a variety of amazing events for cyclists of all stripes.

Our themed bike rides have been a vehicle for silliness and meaningful community action.  We’ve done food rides including Tour de Taco, Exposition de Empanada, Alice in Wynwoodland, and Bike Prom.

Emerge Miami also hosts potlucks, beach cleanups, ballot decoding sessions, progressive film screenings (our very first event was a screening of The Corporation at Sweat Records back in 2005), board game nights, and the notorious Duelling Conspiracies competition.

Why?

Because we believe that together we can better accomplish our individual goals, we regularly come out to support the events and initiatives of our friends including Buskerfest, The Green Mobility Network, Action Club,  O’ Miami, Love the Everglades, Amnesty International, The Tropical Audubon Society and so many more.
Emerge Miami loves a good parade, and more often than not, participates in the King Mango Strut and the Virginia Key Grassroots Festival parade.
